Toilet Roll Owls

Yet another idea for those abundant toilet paper rolls. Make a cute little owl! This is so easy. All you need is paint or markers.

Just bend the top of the roll down so that it looks like owl ears. If it's not staying down use a stick pin to pin the top to the bottom. Now the fun part. Making your owl!

I used acrylic paint and markers. You need several layers of paint since the cardboard will "eat" it up. This took me about 5 minutes to do.  Get some googly eyes and fake feathers and it would be a fun activity for kids!

What to do with your BirchBox?

What do you do with your birchbox after you've taken all the goodies out? Don't throw it out! It's the perfect size and sturdy enough to make a cute Christmas gift box out of it! This is super easy.

The box is cute as is but we need to add some Christmas cheer to it.

I used some scrapbook paper that looks like wood for the inside. I used glue for the paper. It would have been much easier with the sticky scrapbook tape but I ran out. I always run out of that stuff! And by the way why is it so expensive?!

Pick a sturdy paper for the top of the box. I adore this Martha Stewart paper! I wish I could put it everywhere!

I tried to measure my box and make a template but I really suck at that kind of stuff. I kind of just folded the paper over the box and then cut it on the folds.

I glued and clamped my paper down.

And now the fun part. Putting stuff into the box! Of course most everyone will get some soap from me. And no, just because I give you soap doesn't mean I think you have a hygiene problem. Although there are a few people.....

Happy December and Crazy Dogs

Happy December!

This year has flown by! It seems like I was wilting in the summer heat just yesterday. Now I am sitting in front of the space heater with hot coffee and trying to keep the dogs from wrecking havoc.

Sometimes the dogs are good.

and sometimes they are bad. Okay more then sometimes.

As Poseidon gets older he gets grumpier and bolder. He will just take and do what he wants. He doesn't care!
