"Good Vibrations" is one of my all time favorite songs. Not only is it a perfect pop song but it was a major technical breakthrough in studio recording. There are so many different layers to the music. It took 17 separate studio sessions at several different studios to get the sound that Brian Wilson heard in his head. And you gotta love that theremin!

New Soap!
Finally got some new soap cured! After much trouble with other batches due to the high humidity I am very happy and relieved this came out O.K. This is a very floral/earthy all natural soap. Smells very rosey to me. This soap is totally natural. The scent is an essential oil blend and the colors are from various clays. If you would like to see more check out my Artfire shop!

I knitted! sorta
Thank you youtube. I finally understand knitting. I tried learning from books and off internet pages but none of it clicked. I had to actually watch someone doing it and rewind it and watch it again and again. It doesn't look very impressive. I still need practice. Lots and Lots.

Down on Frenchmen Street
My husband took me to New Orleans Saturday night for my birthday. We ate, drank and listened to music. It was perfect. We hung out on Frenchmen Street. We saw a cute 40's type band, a kind of blues/zydeco band and an awesome brass band. LOVE the music here. Everywhere you go there is music. And it's good. It's authentic. Well maybe not on Bourbon St. :)
Oh and the conversations you hear in New Orleans are like none other.
girl: I wanted to live in a commune but all I found was one in Alabama for old lesbians. So I came here instead.
Same girl: I would be so happy if I didn't shower for a week.
guy: That's not cool.
girl in bathroom: That banana thing was so good. I'm gonna have to get that again!
