We had our first king cake today. There is a baby hidden inside the cake and whoever gets the piece with the baby has to buy the next cake. This is all new to me. In New Orleans you get an entire week off in school for Mardi Gras! This weekend I think we will go check out a parade. Since we aren't actually in New Orleans I don't think it will get too crazy.

sounds like fun! We used to have a sales rep from LA. that would send us a cake every year around mardi gras time- and then the person that got the baby would bring in a cake the next day....gained a little weight that week, too much good food!
Yeah, It's not diet food!
